Shame is Sneaky and it Can Cause Destruction within Ourselves
Healing is a journey, and you don't have to walk it alone.
At Overcoming Trauma, PLLC, I specialize in helping individuals navigate the complexities of trauma, dissociation, and attachment wounds. I work with BIPOC, queer, and neurodivergent folks who are ready to heal, explore, and (re)connect with their authentic selves. Whether you want to start with yoga therapy, talk therapy, or both, my goal is to meet you where you are, free from judgment or shame. Healing is not linear, and together we’ll create a path that fits your unique needs and experiences.
PSYCHOTHERAPY AND YOGA THERAPY: TOOLS FOR YOUR HEALING JOURNEY
Trauma can take many forms, from personal lived experiences to intergenerational trauma. There are many forces—societal, cultural, and familial—that can keep us from fully connecting with our inner selves and the world around us. My approach is rooted in compassion and accountability, and an understanding of how deeply these forces can impact your well-being.
I’m passionate about equipping you with the tools to navigate your trauma, grief, and healing. We will work together to explore the facets of your lived experiences while building practical skills and strategies to reach your personal goals. I am here to guide you with care and attention as you explore what it means to reconnect with your true self.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- A Safe, Non-Judgmental Space: Therapy should be a place where you feel supported, not judged. My approach is collaborative, warm, and respectful of your experiences.
- Tailored Tools for Your Journey: In our sessions, you’ll learn practical skills to help you heal, cope with difficult emotions, and stay grounded in the present moment. Whether you choose to start with yoga therapy or talk therapy, 1:1 or group, somatic skills will be modified to your needs.
- Healing at Your Own Pace: We’ll work together to explore the root causes of your shame, grief, trauma, and other challenges, while giving you the space to move through them in a way that feels right for you.
- Compassionate Support for All Aspects of Your Self: Whether you're processing past trauma or simply seeking to live more authentically post-trauma, I’m here to help you (re)connect with your authentic self and values, and create the life you want.
